A few hours ago Sasha, Rosanna, my mother and I went outside to try my idea for today’s 365 photograph.
The trees and leaves at the moment are just utterly breathtaking. When I was outside earlier I saw some falling from the trees and I thought they would look beautiful in a photograph with a model trying to catch them… looking up at them, that kind of thing.
What we did…
I got Sasha into position. Then Rosanna and my mother got onto chairs either side of Sasha and gently threw leaves over her which we had collected.
I took a total of 400 photographs, so I was sure to get every possible leaf I wanted.
So, here is Day 88/365 - “Fall for me…”
I edited it in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 (for the colouring) and Adobe Photoshop CS2 to stitch the images together which you will see below…
The photographs were taken with the Canon EOS 1D Mark III with my Canon EF 135mm f/2.0 L lens…
Enjoy the process below! Let me know what you think, I’d love to hear from you.
The stitch…
This has to be my most complex photograph to date. This one photograph is a stitch of 20 images.
I.e. I picked my favourite photograph of:-
1. Sasha.
2. Tree on the right.
3. Leaves at the top left of the image.
4. Leaves in the middle – left of the image.
5. Leaves at the bottom on the left.
6. Leaves falling into her hand.
7. Leaves under her arm.
8. Leaves by the tree.
9. Leaves on the right of the image.
10. Leaves in the foreground.
The editing process…
This is what I started with. I chose this one because I loved it of Sasha.
This is 1/3 of the way through – I removed my mother’s hand on the right and added leaves.
Adding more leaves to the left.
The Final Cut – “Fall for me… Day 88/365″
And…. a fun extra!
Rosanna passing Mummy some leaves as she began to run out
A huge thank you…
A huge thank you to Sasha, Rosanna and my mother – there’s absolutely no way I could have done this on my own…!
